Typefully Pricing Is $99 a Year for One Social Set

Free is $0, Creator is $99/year, and Business is $18 per set. Typefully pricing still excludes X Premium, LinkedIn analytics, and a monthly Creator bill.

Typefully pricing page with yearly billing on, showing Free, Creator at $99 a year, and Business at $18

As of October 19, 2026, Typefully charges $0 on Free, $99/year on Creator, and $18 per social set per month on Business when yearly billing stays on. Creator has no monthly invoice. A second brand, or a collaborator you have to invite, is the jump to Business, not the move from 1,000 posts a month to 1,500.

Typefully writes and schedules posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Substack. The object on the invoice is a social set: a single person or brand, with its own drafts, calendar, and settings.

The strength is one annual bill for those six text networks. That bill still leaves out a monthly Creator option, X Premium, and LinkedIn analytics.

Key Takeaways

  • Verdict: Pay Creator if you publish as a single identity on text networks and can prepay. Pay Business when you add a second social set or invite someone. Skip Typefully if Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn analytics is the job.
  • Best for: A solo writer who will post more than 10 times a month and can pay annually.
  • Pricing: Free is $0. Creator is $99/year, annual only. Business is $18 per social set per month billed yearly, or $20 billed monthly.
  • Biggest strength: One social set holds the six text networks on the pricing grid, so you are not paying a channel fee six times.
  • Biggest weakness: Creator cannot be paid monthly, and Typefully's own pages disagree on whether Free includes the AI writer.

What Is Typefully?

Typefully pricing page with yearly billing on. Free is $0, Creator is $99 a year, and Business is $18 per social set.

Typefully is a writing and scheduling tool for text networks. The legal name is Typefully Inc. The site operates in the United States, and payments run through Stripe.

Typefully says it does not store your card number, per its privacy policy. Support mail is support@typefully.com.

Co-founder roles for Francesco Di Lorenzo and Fabrizio Rinaldi start in June 2020, per their LinkedIn profiles. The public launch is the December 9, 2020 Show HN, posted as a write-only interface for Twitter.

The typefully.com domain was registered in 2016. That registration date is not a founding year.

Evan Williams invested, announced October 17, 2022. The amount is not disclosed. He is an investor, not a co-founder.

Fabrizio said Typefully reached $2M ARR and that the team grew to 5, in a December 26, 2025 post that Arrfounder recapped. That figure is a founder statement, not a filing.

The pricing page says "Join 10,000+ customers." That line is Typefully's own claim, not an independent census.

On Product Hunt, Typefully sits at 4.7 from 22 reviews. The praise there is the editor and the X and LinkedIn workflow, not a receipt.

Near the end of 2023, in a Cherry Journal interview, the founders described the pricing bet (9:51). They monetized by adding analytics, thought analytics would be the selling point, and saw it convert a few people. They later paywalled scheduling because that was the part that mattered more.

No dollar is spoken. Later in the same conversation, the core user is still the individual creator (11:19), with teams and agencies starting to appear.

A 2023 interview does not set the 2026 grid. It does not mean analytics is paid while scheduling is free.

Free still includes advanced scheduling, capped at 10 posts a month. X analytics sits on Creator and Business.

The Three Cards You Can Buy

Google's snippet for the pricing page does not quote a dollar. The prices sit on the cards. On October 19, 2026, yearly billing was on by default.

Turning the toggle off changed Business from 18 to 20. Creator stayed at 99. Free stayed at 0.

Reloading the page put Business back at 18. No Enterprise card appeared.

Free is $0. The card says free for everyone: 1 social set, 1 user, and 10 posts a month. You also get advanced scheduling, agents, the API, and MCP, with limited media uploads.

Ten posts a month is a real plan. It is too small for a daily cadence.

Creator is $99/year. Annual billing only. The monthly toggle does not create a Creator monthly price, and you still get 1 social set and 1 user.

The compare table lists 1,000 posts a month, plus X analytics, AI writing features, and unlimited media uploads. Typefully's words for this card: individual writers and creators that are serious about their content.

Divide $99 by 12 and you get $8.25. That figure is computed. It is not a plan, and it is not an invoice.

A headline that says Typefully "starts at $8" is selling the division, not the bill you pay.

Business is $18 per social set per month with yearly billing on, or $20 per social set per month with yearly billing off. The meter is the social set, not the user.

The card adds collaborative writing, comments, Slack notifications, teams, roles, permissions, and higher API rate limits. The cap is 50 social sets and unlimited users. The compare table lists 1,500 posts a month.

Typefully's words for this card: modern marketing teams and agencies that collaborate.

You will not leave Creator for the jump from 1,000 posts a month to 1,500.

A Social Set Is the Bill

Typefully help article defining a social set as the accounts for one person or brand
Typefully help article: a social set is a collection of social media accounts for a person or brand.

Typefully's help article, updated August 7, 2026, defines the unit in a single sentence. A social set is "a collection of social media accounts for a person or brand," so you can write once and cross-post.

Each set has its own drafts, schedule, analytics, and settings. Cross-post is on by default. You can turn platforms off on a single draft.

A second help article, updated August 11, 2026, says the included count varies by plan and points at the pricing page. It does not list 1, 1, and 50. Those counts are on the cards: Free 1, Creator 1, Business up to 50.

The first platforms in the connect steps are X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, or Substack. Mastodon is on the pricing grid and is not in that first-platform list. The same article says performance metrics "only support X for now."

A social set is the meter buyers misread. Cursor pricing has the same trap: the number on the card is not the invoice.

Typefully's cards are explicit about $99 and $18. The confusion is which object those dollars attach to.

A seat, a channel, or a brand? Here, a brand.

Buffer bills per channel. Hypefury's flexible plan bills per channel. Typefully bills per set, and a set can hold the six text networks on the grid.

That is why a solo Creator bill can undercut a six-channel Buffer bill.

On X, HIRO3 (@engineer_num1) read the same shape off the pricing page on October 12, 2026. Free and Creator get one set. A second set is Business, billed per set, and the post prints no dollar.

Invites, Roles, and the Plans You Cannot Buy

To invite a collaborator you need the Business plan, or a legacy Team or Agency plan. The teams article, updated August 11, 2026, names four roles.

Read-only can view drafts, the calendar, and analytics. Write can create and edit. Write & Publish can schedule and publish.

Admin can manage members, invites, and moving social sets. There is no teammate cap. The same article says members with free accounts are welcome and do not need a separate paid subscription to join a paid team.

X delegate access does not carry over. If you move a social set onto an owner who is on Free, scheduled posts come off the calendar, because Free has limits.

Legacy Team and Agency are an invite exception. They are not cards on the pricing page. Starter and Pro are not cards either.

The purchasable names on October 19, 2026 were Free, Creator, and Business. If your notes still say Team at $39 or Agency at $79, those notes describe a ladder you cannot buy today.

Typefully's own Ordinal post from December 9, 2025 still pairs a 14-day trial sentence with a $12.50 line. The trial mention matches the landing FAQs. The $12.50 does not match the current Creator invoice.

Directories and older reviews still repeat that floor. The pricing cards do not.

On r/DigitalMarketing, the only on-topic post in the past year is an unanswered question from May 31, 2026. It is not a price thread.

The pricing page does not show a coupon field or a lifetime plan. Annual billing is the discount the live page actually shows, and it applies to Business, not to Creator. Creator is already annual-only, so there is no monthly rate for the yearly toggle to cut.

AI Writing and the Separate Usage Bill

The pricing grid, the Writing Assistant help article, and the AI page do not say the same thing about Free.

On the cards rendered October 19, 2026, AI writing features sit on the Creator card, not the Free card. The included-usage cell says "Included" on Creator and "Higher included usage" on Business. Free is not granted that cell.

The Writing Assistant help article says all plans include access. Free gets limited usage to try the feature. Paid plans get higher daily and monthly limits.

Usage resets daily at midnight in your timezone and monthly on the billing date. You track it under Settings, Billing.

The AI page puts the assistant on Creator and up. It does not mention a trial. A changelog entry labeled February 23, with no year on the page, says Creator and up, or a free trial.

All three pages are Typefully. They still conflict. Until Typefully picks a single sentence, treat Free AI as unresolved, and treat Creator as the plan the pricing card marks as included.

Extra Usage is a different bill. The help article says extra usage is billed monthly at token cost plus 20%, shows up as a separate line on your invoice, is off by default, and is non-refundable.

The terms, dated February 23, 2026, say Extra AI Usage is opt-in, variable, possibly on a different billing cycle, blockable with a spending cap, and non-refundable. The terms do not say "token cost + 20%," and they do not name a per-token dollar.

Use the help-article formula. There is no published cent rate to quote.

On X, Degen Sing (@degensing) kept the composer and dropped the AI in August 2026. The assistant aims at a generic good tweet, not yours.

Iuliia Shnai called Typefully drafting "very affordable" on LinkedIn in October 2026. That is a perception, not a receipt. A $100-a-month line in the same post is her own buy rule, not Typefully's price.

Trial, Refund, and Cancel Are Three Clocks

Permanent Free is the only clock the pricing cards name. The cards say "Get started" and "Free for everyone," not "14-day trial."

Free is $0, 10 posts a month, 1 social set, and 1 user. It does not expire into a paid plan by itself.

A 14-day trial shows up on the LinkedIn scheduler FAQ and the Threads scheduler FAQ: use the 14-day free trial to try all features. Those pages are undated.

The cancel article, updated May 11, 2026, confirms trials exist and says canceling an active trial removes paid features immediately. It does not say 14 days.

Typefully's December 9, 2025 Ordinal post also says a 14-day free trial. Treat the trial length as a landing-page claim, not as a line on the pricing cards or in the terms.

The 14 days in the terms are a refund window. Fees charged in advance are refundable within 14 days of the charge, except Extra AI Usage. Partial periods, unused time, and downgrades outside that window are not refunded.

Support can still grant a refund. Cancel does not auto-refund.

After a paid cancel, the account is put on Free and keeps analytics and history. The cancel article does not say that the paid period runs out first.

Refund processing is 5 to 10 business days, per the billing article. After you request account deletion, nothing is kept past 30 days, per the privacy policy.

Upgrades charge immediately and keep the bill date. Downgrades become a credit, not cash. The proration formula, from the proration article dated November 25, 2025, is (price difference × days remaining) / days in the period.

The worked example on that page uses $10 and $30 plans. Those numbers illustrate the formula. They are not Typefully prices.

What the Typefully Invoice Leaves Out

Two bills sit next to a Typefully subscription and are not on it.

Publishing X Articles needs X Premium. Drafting and previewing them in Typefully does not require it.

The company account said so on July 8, 2026. The same split is on the LinkedIn company post from that day.

NEW: publish X Articles with Typefully ✍️ Articles are a great way to publish long-form content on X. Now you can draft them in Typefully, get feedback with comments, and preview them before you publish or schedule. To publish Articles you need X Premium, but drafting and https://t.co/NonSv4GPTo

X's own limits, in a help article dated July 21, 2026: X Premium can publish up to 50 long-form posts in a thread, 25,000 characters each. Free X accounts can publish up to 50 posts, 280 characters each.

A Creator subscription does not buy X Premium.

LinkedIn analytics are not in the product the help center will stand behind. The social-set article limits performance metrics to X for now.

On LinkedIn, the complaint that survives is missing LinkedIn analytics, not a dollar amount. Matt Huang called that gap a major handicap in March 2026.

A company post on April 19, 2026 said LinkedIn analytics are coming soon. Coming soon is absent from the $99 you pay today.

The pricing grid lists X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Threads, Mastodon, and Substack. It does not list Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, or YouTube.

index.md and llms.txt say Typefully publishes to Instagram. The help article's first-platform list does not include Instagram. That conflict is unresolved.

If your calendar depends on Instagram or TikTok, this price does not cover the job.

The API has no public price and no numeric rate limit. Cards put Agents, API, and MCP on Free, and "higher API rate limits" on Business, with no number attached.

Connect at the MCP endpoint. It uses OAuth and no API key, per the MCP article updated August 28, 2026. If Claude asks for Pro or Max, that requirement belongs to Claude, not to a Typefully line item.

The API help, dated May 5, 2026, also names no numeric rate.

Auto-DM, auto-plug, and auto-retweet are named on the pricing page. The dedicated help articles do not name a plan.

Which plan includes them is not settled from Typefully's own pages. It is not a reason to pick Creator over Free.

Typefully Pros and Cons

Pros

  1. Creator is one invoice of $99/year for one social set, and that set can hold the six text networks on the grid. You are not paying six channel fees to post the same draft.
  2. Free is a permanent plan at $0, with 10 posts a month. It is not a 7-day demo that flips to paid when a clock ends.
  3. Business bills per social set, not per seat. Teammates on free accounts can join a paid team without a second subscription, per the teams article.
  4. Yearly Business is $18 per set against $20 monthly. Computed from those card rates, you save $24 per set per year ($216 versus $240), which is 10%.
  5. Iuliia Shnai called the drafting very affordable in October 2026. That is a feel, not a receipt, and the $100 line in that post is her buy rule, not Typefully's price.

Cons

  1. Creator has no monthly price. If you will not prepay $99, the paid solo plan is closed, and Business monthly meters a team workflow.
  2. A second brand, or an invite, jumps you to Business at $18 or $20 per set. The gap from 1,000 posts a month to 1,500 is not why the card says teams.
  3. LinkedIn analytics are not included, and the help center stands behind X analytics only. Matt Huang called the LinkedIn gap a major handicap in March 2026.
  4. Extra AI Usage is a separate, non-refundable line, and Typefully's own pages disagree on whether Free includes the writer at all.

A solo creator on the six text networks Typefully lists pays $99 a year on Creator. The same six channels on Buffer Essentials, at $5 per channel per month billed yearly, come to $360 a year. That $360 is computed: $5 times 6 times 12.

Buffer says channels 1 through 10 use that standard rate, so the volume discount above 10 channels does not change this six-channel bill.

The comparison dies the moment you need Instagram or TikTok. Typefully's grid does not include them. Hypefury does include Instagram and TikTok, and Hypefury's published channel list does not include X.

Buffer's yearly-toggle figures, read on October 19, 2026: Free is 10 scheduled posts per channel and 1 user. Essentials is $5/month per channel, $60 billed yearly. Team is $10 per channel per month, $120 billed yearly, with unlimited users.

A different toggle prints different monthly rates. Use the yearly state when you compare.

The same unit trap shows up in Semrush pricing and Mailchimp pricing. The first number is not the bill once the meter multiplies.

Who Should Use Typefully?

Typefully is ideal if you:

  • Publish as a single identity on X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon, or Substack, will post more than 10 times a month, and can prepay $99 for the year.
  • Run a second brand, or a small team that needs invites and roles, and you want a per-set bill rather than a per-seat bill.

Typefully is not ideal if you:

  • Need Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube as a native publish target. Those networks are not on the pricing grid.
  • Need LinkedIn analytics inside the tool. The help center supports X analytics only, for now.
  • Will not prepay annually and do not need a second social set. Creator has no monthly invoice, and Business monthly is a team meter.

Typefully Alternatives Worth Considering

If the social-set meter is the wrong unit, consider:

  • Buffer: Best when you pay per channel and need networks beyond Typefully's text grid. From $5/month per channel, billed yearly.
  • Hypefury: Best when you want a flat all-channel plan and can live without X on the published channel list. Flexible is $6/month per channel. Full is $19/month.
  • Taplio: Best when the job is LinkedIn only, not X. Starter is $39/month.

Hypefury's pricing page, read October 19, 2026, lists Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok. X is not in that list. The page says Hypefury no longer offers a free plan, and it offers a 7-day trial with no card.

The prices in the page text were monthly. A billing selector is on the page, and the text named no yearly dollar amount.

Taplio's monthly prices on the same date: Starter $39/month, Growth $69/month, Pro $199/month, with a 7-day trial. The page also shows a yearly toggle marked 25% off.

Taplio is a LinkedIn product. It is not an X substitute.

Other writeups still print different Taplio prices. Treat $39 as the page that was open on October 19, 2026, and open the page again before you buy.

Final Verdict: $99 for One Set, Business for the Next

Pay $99/year if you publish as one identity and can prepay. Pay $18 per social set when you add a second brand or an invite. Ignore any page still printing $12.50, Pro, or Agency: those names were not on the pricing cards on October 19, 2026.
